Quick tip for builders: Instead of just using the default oak-look, use the palette swapper tool on the secondary block state. It allows you to match the grain of the wood to the surrounding logs for a much more seamless finish. Works wonders for bridges!
This is great for beginners! Many people don't realize that the blocks have these secondary states. It really adds that 'pro' look to a simple starter house.
To add to this, if you hold SHIFT while swapping, it applies to the whole connected face. Saves a lot of clicking on large floor projects.
