Hey everyone, wanted to finally unveil what my team has been working on for the past few months: **HyShoot**. We've been tired of just seeing sword and magic servers, so we're building a full-scale FPS mod within Hytale. We've got a working M4 and AK implementation using the model maker, and we're currently porting over a blocky version of Shipment and Rust for testing.

The TTK (Time to Kill) is set pretty low to match that fast-paced CoD feel. My main worry is the movement engine—we're trying to replicate slide-canceling but the native physics are fighting us a bit regarding friction. Anyone here good with adjusting player physics values? Also, we need map builders who understand line-of-sight for competitive play because we want this to be e-sports viable.
This looks sick, but please tell me you aren't going to lock the good guns behind a VIP rank. That's what killed half the shooter servers in MC. Also, regarding the movement—have you looked into the parkour modifiers in the config? I think you can tweak the slide velocity if you mess with the crouch transition variables in the entity file, might give you that 'slide cancel' feel without custom scripting.
Slide cancelling in Hytale sounds cursed but I kind of love it lol. For the maps, are you doing 1:1 ports or 'Hytale-ified' versions? I feel like the verticality in Hytale could make maps like Highrise incredibly fun if you add jump pads or grappling hooks. definitely keeping an eye on this project, the gun models in the screenshot look crisp.
looks sick! will there be custom animations for reloading? that’s what usually makes or breaks fps mods in block games.
