Found that Kweebec crops grow 20% faster when planted near natural water sources within the Emerald Groves. 1. Clear a 5x5 area. 2. Ensure at least 3 blocks of flowing water. 3. Use bone meal (or the Hytale equivalent) on the center tile.

Data confirms this. The growth tick rate seems tied to the 'hydration' metadata of the soil block. Nice catch on the 20% figure.
